Barry Andrews – Executive Producer, Writer
A Former CEO of a major audio firm for 46 years, Barry brings his extensive background in strategic planning and corporate strategy in to play with Osa: The Jewel of Costa Rica. He is an avid traveler and landscape photographer who has become passionately involved with preserving the world’s wilderness areas.
Docy Andrews – Producer
The CEO of Impact video distribution which specializes in motor sports content. She has produced and directed 6 documentary films for the action sports industry. She also is a veteran actor and has created and wrote and emceed The Xtremey Awards, an annual action sports film awards event for over 10 years. She is currently producing a feature film for main stream audiences in conjunction with Levine Pictures to be released for mass distribution worldwide in 2014.
Austin Andrews – Director
Austin’s past accomplishments include undergraduate studies at Boston College and continued studies at Prescott College in their Adventure Education program. An avid traveler, Austin has done volunteer work in remote areas of Romania and traveled extensively with Overland International as director of photography. His credits include photography and video shorts of vehicle and product reviews, and related news updates. His commercial credits include clients such as Visionary Wild, El Remanso Lodge and Overland Journal. He has also contributed his talent as a colorist for an educational training film for the motorsports market. Austin has completed his education as a wilderness EMT specialist. His work as an editor, colorist, photographer, cinematographer combined with his travel experience and passion for environmental issues made him perfect to direct Osa: The Jewel of Costa Rica. Austin is the driving force of this film and with it he brings his talent, commitment and passion.
Sarah Griffith – Line Producer and Environmental Specialist
Sarah is a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Agroecology from Prescott College, as well as a background in general science. Her passion for conservation and adventurous spirit have taken her to ecosystems across the globe, where she has studied various methods of resource management and habitat preservation. With Coconino Rural Environment Corps and the Verde Watershed Restoration Coalition she worked on a project focused on the removal of invasive plant species along the Verde River in Arizona, giving her a first-hand look into the importance of proper management of our planet’s resources. Her work with The Institute for Sustainable Futures and involvement in the Third Sustainable Phosphorus Summit in Sydney, Australia struck her interest in nutrient cycling, a research topic she hopes to continue exploring in the future.
Cadu Medina, Editor
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Cadu received his Bachelors degree in Marketing and Advertising from FAAP University.He continued his studies in Marketing and Advertising at Berkeley University. After 14 years in Corporate Marketing and Advertising, he founded CRAF2M; an advertising and creative services studio.
In addition to running his company ,he also been working professionally as a Video Editor,Sound Designer, Animator and Colorist. Clients include Yahoo, Canon, Western Digital and Cinematographer Bruce Dorn on projects ranging from corporate videos to documentaries, tutorials, web series and short films.
Elliot Andrews – Camera Operator and Aerial cinematographer
Elliott has had a wide and varied experience in filmmaking. He has edited hundreds of action sport trailers, industrial videos as well as three full length feature films for the sports market . His experience also includes camera work for several action sports film releases and has directed an instructional film for the Mini Warriors Series.
